Every month the U.S. Treasury releases data on the federal budget, including the current deficit. The following contains budget data for July 2019, which is the tenth month of fiscal year 2019. The budget year runs from October 1 to September 30 the following year and is submitted by the President to Congress prior to October for the following year. In this way the budget of 2013 is submitted before the end of September 2012.
